Provides a list of books and resources for families dealing with asthma.

One of the premier peer-run asthma groups in the country, started in 1985 by Nancy Sander, mother of an asthmatic child. Offers a wealth of information. American Medical Association
Provides a variety of asthma information for individuals and families. Click on "Resources for Individuals with Asthma or Parents of Children/Teenagers with Asthma" for an extensive list of organizations and what services and materials each can provide. Site also includes information on pregnancy and asthma.

The University of Chicago Hospitals' on-line partner for health care information. The above link references their asthma information.

An educational partner of the American Lung Association. This extensive site provides information on asthma for families. Includes separate sections for children and teens.

Band-aides and Blackboards
A site designed for families with ill children (not only children with asthma). Has first-person accounts from children and teenagers, a virtual hospital tour, advice for parents, and many other useful resources. See especially the section on siblings, which provides a list of books for children about sibling relationships, including relationships in which one or more of the children is ill or has a disability.

BrainPOP
A health-related website for kids, offers information on asthma as well as this section for parents.

Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (Canada)
Offers basic information on childhood asthma along with practical tips on medications, trigger avoidance, and home-monitoring. Includes some useful illustrations.

Ed's Asthma Track for Parents of Children with Asthma
Lots of good information and insight available at this attractive site constructed by the mother of a boy with asthma. Includes chat section for parents.
